Using The Momentum From The New Year To Achieve Your Goals! (3 Pillars of Progress)

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

It’s a New Year and that means a fresh new start! Time to whip out our journal and start planning for the year ahead. For a long time, I use to ignore the ‘New Year Resolution’ thing. I thought “I can set a goal any time of the year”... and although that's true, I was missing out on a powerful force that comes over most people at the start of the year. That initial push to help you get started with your goals that eventually can turn into momentum! A few years ago I started to take advantage of setting goals in the New Year, and I’ve never looked back! I encourage you to use this time to create a space to reflect on what you want in 2022 and WHY you want it. There are so many ways to set goals, and it doesn't have to be boring! If you watched our Vision and Goals video last year you would already know that!

This year, I want to equip you with a new strategy that I learnt at a Tony Robbins Seminar called the Pillars of Progress.

Key Takeaways from the Pillars of Progress strategy:

  • Get laser focused - make your goals clear & compelling

Be specific with your goals so they are measurable and ensure you get excited when you think about them. If you do not have a strong ‘why’ behind your goals, it’s likely you will give up on them early in the year.

  • Get the best strategies, mentors, tools, coaches

Learn from people who have already achieved your desired result. Find someone that can help you / guide you. Asking questions will help you overcome any roadblocks you might face on your journey. If you can't find someone to personally talk to, go searching for the best books, podcasts, courses, youtube videos to help you get to the next step!

  • Get into action!

Don’t just talk about what you want to achieve, go out and start taking action towards your goal. Don’t wait, start right now!
