Get some pen & paper out! Let’s do some writing!

My handwriting sucks, but today we're going to attempt to do some writing. Hey team, for this weekly reminder, I want to encourage everyone to get out a pen and a paper and start writing something down. I'm personally going to do a letter to myself, but you can do whatever you like.

The whole purpose of today's weekly reminder is to get you writing again, because I feel like we do so much texting, so much things on the computer. It's actually nice to actually get your diary out and write again. For me, writing is super calming and relaxing, but it also helps with goal setting as well. When people write down their goals, they're actually much, much more likely to achieve it.

If you're keen to do this but don't know what to write about, it can literally be anything. It can be your to do list for tomorrow. It can be some goals that you've set for yourself. It can be a design or idea that you've been thinking of in your head, just jotting it down and getting it on paper.

I'm personally going to turn this camera off right now and start writing myself. I don't know what I'm going to write about, but I think I'm going to just give a bit of an update on where life is at right now. Thank my past self for all the decisions that I've made up until this point and also write down some of my goals for the next year so that I've got it written on paper so that when I achieve them, I can look back and celebrate.

Don't overthink it. Just get some paper out and whatever comes to mind, start going with that. Now, I know a lot of you will be thinking, okay, I'll do this task on the weekend or when I have more time. But even if you have 5 minutes, I would encourage you to just do it right now. As soon as you turn this video off, you think that you might come back to it.

But the reality is you probably won't. So I would rather you guys spend 5 minutes on writing rather than saying that you're going to do it, but you never get around to it. So whatever you choose to write, create a bit of a space for yourself, get comfy, get quiet and put on some music. Get into a zone where it's comfortable for you to sit there for a while and take your time.

If you have longer than 5 minutes, even better. You deserve it. You deserve at least an hour a day to yourself. So take your time and write whatever you feel like.
